We are hiring a permanent Budget Analyst who will be working on Federal financial systems and interfacing with Government subcontractors performing budgetary program, policies, and procedures. Daily work within DoD financial software tools such as GFEBS-SA (with Sensitive Activities) and Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research (SOMARDS).

Daily typical duties may include reconciliation of budget imbalances like Negative Unliquidated Obligations (NULOs), zero obligations, and prior year budget deficiencies. Candidate will ensure that budget estimates are in accord with expenditures using analysis data tools that track trends, tracking obligations [ensuring they occur in a timely manner concurring with the annualized work plan], and any regulations that need to be adhered to.

Applicant will be handling the budgetary / finance issues that involve DoD Financial Management Regulation and Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS)-Indianapolis Regulation 37-1, working with funding limitations in Funding Authorization Documents (FADS), developing estimates for civilian pay and benefits, travel, and other Elements of Resource (EOR).

Required:
*5 years’ Experience working in DoD budgeting working with data, compiling various reports and analyzing data and preparing data for meeting with management.
*Experience assisting with Program Objective Memorandums (POM) documents, procurement forms (P-Forms), research, develop, test, and evaluation forms (R-Forms), operations and maintenance forms (O-forms); smart charts, obligation plans, execution reports, and budget requests.
*Some experience with DoD financial software (GFEBS-SA and SOMARDS preferred)
*Active Secret Clearance
*4 year degree, or 4 additional years’ experience in lieu of degree
