What Job will entail:
We are hiring for a Cable Technician/Assembler who will be supporting testing and fabrication of various cable assemblies. Daily work may be comprised of testing wires/assemblies on a test stand, inspecting and performing rework soldering and use of manual tools to ensure assemblies are checked for to operate properly and ready for shipment. Some work may involve cutting, chassis marking, preparing terminations, harness or cable forming, and lacing.
What you will need to perform above work (Required):
*1-2 years' experience putting together test instrumentation equipment/stands including multimeters, gauges and oscilloscopes, etc.
*Experience soldering cable/connectors/wires and interconnecting to other components.
*Ability to understand and read drawings, work instructions and schematics
*Good computer skills such as entering work information into database; good basic math skills
*High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional skills helpful:
*Soldering certification such as IPC-610, 620 or J-STD-001
*Experience in manual soldering such as SMT and Thru Hole soldering
*Familiar with Test Box layouts (punching down, drilling and connector installation)
*Familiar with hand tools used in electronics and minor mechanical assembly
*Ability to work under a microscope, if needed.
