We are seeking a Chemical Manufacturing Plant Design Engineer who will be assisting us in designing a chemical manufacturing plant. Part of this work will involve analyzing existing plant infrastructure and recommend upgrade plans and strategies.

Daily duties will include Scope of Work development, estimating equipment needed, detailed design, construction field support, and commissioning.  Work on developing capital budgets (including project hours estimating), revising piping and instrumentation diagrams, conduct hazard analysis, supporting the different construction phases of projects, performing walk downs/redlining process documents upon project completion, calculating pump and pipe sizes, heat transferring issues, etc.

Required:
*8 years’ experience in designing of manufacturing plants, particularly petrochemical or similar chemical plants

*Experience on major ($1M+) Capital Projects [Must clearly be shown on resume]  
*Experience developing instrument and valve specifications
*Background in ChemCAD, Process Flow Diagram development, Heat and Material Balance development, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram development (P&ID) Pressure Relief Calculations
*Engineering Degree, Chemical Engineering preferred

Pluses:

*Process Simulation Modeling AFT Fathom & Arrow Flow Modeling 

*Strong AutoCAD Plant 3D or P&ID experience   

*PE license
