We are hiring for a Mechanical Packaging Engineer who will be responsible for assisting in creating, inspecting and testing of packaging for various electronics products, including Infrared Electro Optical Products. These products may include Electronics IC Chips and wafers, circuit boards, wire bonding equipment, etc. Candidates will be expected to consider and use all methods of packaging including packages involving welding or soldering. Candidate may be utilizing various equipment to test designs, including automated testing equipment.

Some daily duties may include consideration and implementation methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the packages created.

Required:
*10+ years’ experience in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering for Electronics Packaging
*Good computer database knowledge, as this will be needed for analytics of the design process
*Engineering Degree

Pluses:
*Familiar with Infrared or electro optical devices and related packaging considerations and challenges.
*Knowledge of packaging automated test tools
*LEAN or Six Sigma environment experience or certification
