Must be able to work flex schedule, overtime, evenings, weekends, etc. and can work onsite daily.
We are hiring for a Fabrication Technician to work in a prototype/development environment, with experience in metal fabrication and mechanical assembly. Demonstrated competence in fabrication of basic steel and aluminum metal fixtures and tooling using manual milling machines, band saws, manual engine lathes, radial drill presses, and an assortment of hand-powered tools and equipment.
*3-4 years technical fabrication experience
*Capable of scheduling, de-conflicting, and executing multiple technician activities concurrently.
*Some experience in material handling with rigging (lifting slings and tackle) and competency utilizing powered pallet stackers and powered hoists for lifting heavy materials
*Proficient in computing within a Windows-based MS Office-suite centered environment for communication, scheduling, data processing, basic data transfer, and training.
* High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree . •
*Able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
*Knowledge of CNC machines and software, CATIA, Creo, Pro E, and G-code programing. *Ability to read drawings and parts lists; understanding of GD&T and Mil-Spec Standards *Advanced working knowledge with various metals, layout, cutting, bending, forming.
*Working knowledge from concept design into product development.
*Current DoD Secret clearance.
