We are hiring a permanent, experienced Fire Alarm Technician who will be working on commercial systems in buildings, campuses, office parks and other large facilities. The position can be based in MD south of Baltimore, or the DC/metro area. The position does involve picking up the work vehicle daily, driving to customer sites, so a nearly clean driving record is imperative.
The typical daily responsibilities entail driving vehicle to work sites, working from service tickets and diagnose, repair and replace issues with fire alarm or related systems (including test flow switches, tamper valves, low temp devices, smoke detectors, duct detectors, pull stations, fire doors, heat detectors, annunciators, hi-low air switches, communicators, fire and security alarm control panels, etc.).
Once work is complete, it is expected that the technician will complete service ticket, reporting issues and complete work. Technician will generate required documentation via wireless and paper as to what was done/future required actions.
Required:
*Valid drivers license, must be relatively clean, not too many points.
*3 years’ experience in repairing commercial, low voltage fire alarm systems
*Good electrical experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting electronics panels, particularly or any low voltage systems.
*Experience working with various fire alarm manufacturing equipment providers (i.e. Simplex / Grinnell, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, etc.)
*Able to obtain Maryland /Virginia security technician license if required
*Physically able to perform work considering heights, climbing, crawling, lifting 30lbs; able to differentiate colors of cabling or other color coded items.

*AA Degree, preferably in electronics or technician skills.
*Military education and electronics training
*NICET certification
*Mechanical ability; construction type experience
