Pay Rate:  $26-$30/hr (58-62k/yr)


Per Diem   Split:  Available to those who qualify


Overtime:  Paid at applicable state law


Shift:          9x80 work week; 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.


 


 


Position Description


Our client is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to support the mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection of finished goods and supplier parts in an aerospace manufacturing environment. The candidate has experience with basic inspection tools while working independently or with a group to inspect mission critical parts.


 


Required Experience


·         Understanding of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)


·         Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product line across 4 different Value Streams


·         Visual inspection on workmanship criteria.


·         Proficient in working with measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, verniers, etc.)


·         Write DMRs (Defect Management Report) when non conformances are found.


·         Coordinate with Material Review Board, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering as needed to resolve open issues.


·         Review of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracy.


·         Ability to read and follow standards and work instructions related to the manufactured parts.


·         High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ experience in an inspection role.


 


Desired Experience


·         J-STD-001 certification or classes


·         AS9100 or ISO9001 experience


·         Some experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection


·         Experience with reading schematics/drawings/procedures.


·         Experience with document quality assurance


·         Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office™ products - Excel, Word and using databases.
