We are hiring for a Human Factors Engineer who will be working on US Army systems and integrating those systems based on user feedback and completing integrations considering all factors in the actual use of military based programs.


 


Responsibilities will consist of early stage work including front-end analysis and experimental work developing a new system, followed by creating the architecture, workflow, information and interaction designs for new and existing systems. Once deployed, candidate will meet with user community on the users site (job is about 25% travel), interviewing, surveys, testing and training and gaining feedback from user community.  Typical duties would be providing research and user-centered design performing heuristic evaluations; creating and administering surveys; providing competitive analyses; creating wireframes, empathy maps, journey maps, low and high-fidelity prototypes, and persona development. 


 


During the course of candidates duties, it is expected that the applicant will consider not only system related issues, but also safety, logistics, human error analyses, use fault trees/event trees, and root-cause analysis to complete work.


 


Once work is complete, candidate will assist in rolling out systems, particularly in training systems requirements and design, particularly with embedded training systems.


 


Required:
*10 Years experience working in a Human Factors or UI/UX role, designing as well as conducting surveys of user system interaction and implementations.
*Experience with UI/UX - User-Centered design principles including one or more of the following: Path analysis, heuristic evaluations, wireframes, useability 18F, etc.
*Active Secret Clearance preferred
*4 year degree in Human Factors or computer interaction/psychology related degree.
*Hybrid position. In office 2 days per week, telework 3 days per week.
*25% Travel is required

*Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance, with previous SCI (must apply and gain clearance upon start)
