Our client is seeking a Unix System Administrator to administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Will also monitor UNIX/RHEL server alerts as well as the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems and server hardware and support CMMC and FedRAMP regulations.
Required Skills
*2 years of experience working as a Unix System Administrator
*2 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administration
*Experience tuning, installing software, and allocating storage space (Commvault).
*Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining UNIX/Linux operating system and server hardware.
*Experience with Bash, Perl, or Python Scripting.
*Facilitates operating system enhancements to improve the reliability and performance of UNIX, Linux, and Red Hat Solaris.
*Experience with PeopleSoft, and Commvault in a NOC environment.
*Available to work on call as necessary.
*Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, I T or Engineering with 2 years of experience
Skills Preferred
*Familiarity with application software (i.e. Apache, Tomcat).
*Familiarity with configuration management tools
*Operational knowledge of Oracle and MySQL.
*Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
